I'm looking for radio stations
Can anyone tell me of any music or radio internet sites that work with the axim. Yahoo launch doesnt seem to do it - or at least I can't make it work,
Thanks,
Harlan

Harlan,
I'd strongly, STRONGLY recommend getting GSPlayer, it'll work for any "Shoutcast" radio stations, and is a snap to install (drag the EXE over and you're done).
That should open up a whole new door for listening to music.
The URL to download the software is:
http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA032810/gsp.htm
If you're having trouble finding the download (there is *only one link* that downloads the PPC, CE and Windows versions) use this link to download the software:
http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA032...sp182a_eng.zip
Make sure to associate it with various music files (PLS, etc.) - you should be set to play any Winamp (or equivalent) streams.
Let us know if you still need help afterward.
Nick

Do you need to be connected to the internet or can you download a couple hours of music and play later?
Thanks
Jim

Jim,
Unfortunately - you need to be connected to the 'net in order to stream music, but there is a way that you can transfer the music to MP3 format and listen to it "on the go", however I'm not sure what is needed to do this.
If anyone else knows, can you post the info here? Also, Jim, it has been brought up in another thread, so if you get the chance, do a search and you should be able to find something!
HTH!
Nick

Harlan,
Pretty much every radio station out there has an internet feed. All you then need to do is find the station's website, and load up the stream. If you've set the associations correctly, the stream will load and play in GSPlayer, without the headaches of streaming through WMP.

I've been able to listen to my station (and by extension other Live365 stations) by listening to it in Winamp on my desktop, then saving the playlist and opening it on the Axim in GSPlayer. Good luck.....

Got it. Took a little figuring out. I use a 802.11b card at home and work with my Axim. Now I can listen to jams in my meetings :-)
