Can anyone sync via IRDA with an IBM Thinkpad laptop?

No, it happened naturally the first time I sync'd it. All the same screens apperaed as if I were using a craddle.

I played around with it some more and it did allow me to create a partnership. I was able to connect, but didn't have time to really start a sync (I want to check all the settings first).
I tried to browse the internet and had problems with that, but I will try when I have time.

So, I got successful IR connection to Active Sync.

One thing I just noticed, my ActiveSync setting was reset. Go to 'Files', then 'Connection Settings', and make sure the first Check Box is checked and IR is selected in the pulldown box.

I was clicking 'connecting via IR' from my Ax, the wireless IR button on the bottom right corner verified I was talking with the laptop, but the connection would fail each time and ActiveSync would never go green or start talking. Then I check the above settings and noticed it was set to 'com 1' instead of IR, so I changed this and everything worked no problem.
