How does EXCHANGE work ???????

Hey Guys,

I'm awaiting my Axim exchange. For those of you that already
have gone through this process, quick question.


My Dell rep told my that a box will be enclosed to return the Axim.
Do I swap them there on the spot and give the defective one to FEDEX?? Or do I need to reship it out myself?????

Dell will send you a new or refurbished unit. In the box you should get a return airbill (probably for Airborne Express). Swap out your unit with the exchange, package everything back up as it was, slap the airbill on the box and call for a pickup.

I would make sure your new unit works correctly first, however, and be sure to get a receipt on the return (copy of the airbill). Dell has been know to occassionally misplace returns which leaves you on the hook for the bill if you have no proof you sent it back.

There is another possibility.
You may not receive an airbill in the box.
When I got my exchange, I received a new unit, but I had to call Dell to and tell them that I received my replacement and that I'm ready to return the defective unit. They called up airborne and arranged for pickup at my house.
