Active sync on replacement computer

Good morning all-

I need to install active sync on my new work lap top. I have had my Axim working on my old lap top for 4 months. I am very nervous about doing this because of all of the headaches from my first installation. I am running on MS and Outlook XP- The Dell support folks stated that it would never work and somehow when I was tinkering with it, I was able to get all to sync up. Trouble is, I do not know what I did to get it fully syncing.

Any advice prior to the plunge?
