Question active sync issue

This has happened to me several times and I still can't figure out how to correct it. When my ax5 crashes and I do the hard reset, I then connect it to my PC and it will not go to my normal partnership...it wants me to either start a new partnership or connect as a guest. I would really appreciate it if someone could shed some light on this problem.

With your Axim disconnected, go to File - Delete Partnership on your desktop ActiveSync. Then try syncing again.

When you do a hard reset you wipe out all the settings so when you reconnect your Axim to your PC it thinks you have attached a new PPC to it and therefore does not associate your Axim with a pre-existing partnership. You will have to change the ID of your Axim and to do so you will have to tap on START>SETTINGS, tap on the SYSTEM tab at the bottom and then tap on the ABOUT icon and then tap on DEVICE ID tab at the bottom and rename your Axim to the previous device ID you had it set to (if you had a custom name programmed in there) and then your PC should recognize your device and should sync normally.

To change your avatar on aximsite you need should have an FTP site or something that you can upload your avatars to and change them out as you see fit...unless you have IIS installed on your PC and then you can use your PC at home to store the avatars and change them at will. If neither one of those options are available to you then I suggest using the icons here on aximsite.
