Inexplicable disconnect after a short while

My X5 connects and syncs when inserted into the cradle; after about 5 or 10 minutes however, it disconnects. The X5 itself stays powered up in the cradle, but ActiveSync v3.8 on the PC says "Not connected". I can remove it from the cradle and re-insert it, but the same thing happens.

Has anyone else experienced this?

You can make adjustments to syncing rules by going to Tools - Options - Schedule tab in your desktop ActiveSync.

Thanks, but this doesn't appear to be a scheduling problem. FWIW, Schedule > Desktop schedule is set to "Continuously".
