Active Syc Problem
Although I have a lot of experience with Windows PC’s I am a complete newby when it comes to Pocket PC’s and their operating systems. My daughter just gave me her Dell Axim5 and, although I have figured out a lot of things, I am stumped about 2 issues.
• Everytime I plug the unit into the cradle (USB), the software prompts me to set up a new partnership. Is this normal??, can’t the software remember??
• When I plug the Axim into the cradle both the PC and the Axim display a message of “Connected”. When I try to move a file, either via drag and drop or copy/paste, I get an error message that says:
o Critical Communication Services have failed to start. To correct this error, exit all applications and restart windows. If problem persists, re-install Active Sync.
Can anyone give me any clues as to what I should do? I have rebooted numerous times and un-installed/re-installed Active Sync 3 times to no avail.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
