Moving folders to memory cards

I have an Axim X5 with a Microsoft Windows Pocket PC 2003 Premium operating system. I also have a 256MB Memory Card and a 512MB Secure digital card and card reader. I am a newbie to PDA but PC literate. I have been reading tutorials and threads but can't seem to find some answers. How can I transfer folders from "My Documents" on PC to memory cards and then access them. I just want to move music, photo and Email folders to keep RAM and ROM use low for speed.
Also I can't figure out how to download books to Reader. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Bob
