AximX5 not working after hard boot

About 7 months ago, my AximX5 started acting rather slow. I performed a hard reset. When it came back up, I spent a long time aligning the screen. Eventually, it would show the next screen and then freeze. I finally gave up and haven't done anything with it in a while. Any ideas? Can I somehow reinstall Windows or something? I know a bit about computers, but I'm completely out of ideas here. Thanks.

hmmmm...I should've read other topics first. I'll try that electrical tape thing...never opened a PDA before.

A hard reset is what brings your device back to factory state. No reinstall of the OS is necessary. Are you using a screen protector? If so, remove it and see if that helps.

no...no screen protector. After aligning the screen (if I have the patience to get that far) it completely freezes.

Removing both batteries would force a hard reset. Can't hurt to try. :)
