axim x5 suddenly won't turn on

Hi guys, my axim x5 suddenly won't turn on. i tried to charge it overnight and still wont boot-up. the led is red and turns to green but unable to boot-up. im thinking it was the battery but i did using my mugen battery and also replaced the internal battery but unfortunately wont open. device never been dropped or something like that. any idea guys?

Have you tried doing a soft reset or removing your CF or SD cards? Sometimes that helps. Last resort would be to try a hard reset, but then you'll lose everything.

BTW, to Aximsite!

already did a soft and hard reset but still the device wont turn-on. the device seems it still charging thru the usb or the wall connector..but it really wont turn on. any other idea guys? or this is another story of a big shiny paper weight?

Try the X5 built-in diagnostic....

i_am_rie,

Try the diagnostic utility that is built into the X5.

To do that, see my Post #2 at the following link:

If you get your X5 to power up, run, and pass the diagnostic, then your problem is likely to be that the OS needs to be reloaded from a CF card (follow the directions for the tom61 link at the bottom of my Post #2).

If you can't get your X5 to power up at all, or if it fails the diagnostic, then your X5 has gone on to Pocket PC nirvana.
