Worth buying despite screen line problem?

Hello,

I'm considering buying an Axim, but was shocked that the screen had the same problem that my Sharp Zaurus SL-5500 had. Whenever I slightly moved the display, vertical refresh lines would be visible that were slightly brighter than the actual pixels. I hated this, and returned it. After reading the forum, it looks like the Dell Axim X5 has the same problem because it uses Sharp's screens, but the refresh lines are horizontal. On the Zaurus, this problem could be fixed by constantly reflashing and checking if it works. Is the Axim worth buying? Anyone have both and can compare which one has more of a problem?

Thanks,
Ivan

I haven't noticed that problem but if you think its going to bother you, I'd just stay away.

Oh well

I'll buy it anyway and return it if it's too much of a problem.

Yes, Dell has a good return policy. So just get it and test it out. The ONLY time I notice a "bothersome" screen line problem is when watching video files in landscape mode (i.e. Screen turned sideways). When holding in portrait mode (i.e. Upright), there are no noticeable lines.....unless you look REALLY close. And if you look that close at ANY pda, you will see lines. So just get it, and try it out for a few days.
