Exclamation Charge without cradle

I'm out of the office at a conference for a few days so I brought just the transformer that plugs into the cradle. When I plugged my axim in to charge it this evening, nothing.

I'm sure I have power but it's not charging.

Did I skip a page in the manual?

Thanks,

AK

Yep - I (stupidly) bought the spare PSU, and it's exactly the same as the one that comes with the cradle. Should work fine...

Just make sure it's fully plugged into the bottom of the Axim. Sometimes that plug looks fully inserted, but it's not.

More info....

OK folks, check this one out.

I had a couple of days to sweat this one out but this is what I figured out. The plug is not seating all the way. So I squinted down the hole quite a wile before I figured out that the little plastic tip (must be from my cradle) is lodged in the bottom of the hole. It must be the one from the cradle because it was working perfectly in the cradle.

I'll know for sure Monday.

Pretty freaky problem. Almost had me stewed but I was just able to slip a slim needle from a hotel sewing kit along side the barrel of my charger probe. I just needed a tiny extension of the side contact to complete the contact.
