I agree with the last two posts. I managed some of the big box retail stores and wire can do it...if you are carrying 2 sets of headphones, that can set them off. But I am going with the theory on the belt, wallet or jacket. After time, the electronic tag inside of things, especially leather will actually "re-charge" itself and cause you to go off. I know this because i have a leather wallet from Levi's and at the store I managed, the alarm would go off about every 5-7 months and I would have to deactivate it again on the pad. They sew the tags into the linings of wallets and belts and coats and purses. Don't try to find em...probably will ruin the item you have. Just ask the clerk or the guard to help you out with it and they can deactivate you. PS This happens alot in the summer during thunderstorm season when the static electricity is high .
