Peice of crap locked up!

Ok.. So I have 5 states on my Card.. I load iguidance, and so I went to a site in D.C in which I pulled out the CF card and I did not know I still had the maping program loaded, so I said ok.. So I tried to turn off the X5 and nothing worked, So I pressed the Reset button, and it hangs forever on the Dell Logo, so I pull the battery and after that it still hangs on the Dell logo.. So now whenever you pressed the reset button it asks you if you want to clear the memory or not.. So I did no 5 times, and it still locked up....

So I pressed the button and it cleared everything out :-/

That X50V or X51V is starting to look very nice right now, and I wonder if I should buy anything else for my X5 as I don't want to deal with this again.

The problem began when you pulled the CF card when it was probably still being accessed and it may have become corrupt, or there's a corrupt entry in the Registry. Did you try the soft resets with the card out?
This would probably have happened with an X50/51; I always make sure there are no running programs and hit the power button before swapping cards.
I would also suggest Sprite Backup, this would have saved you a lot of aggravation.

Yep did it with and without the CF card, did not work, I gave up But the good thing is I learned my way around D.C without Gps which turned out to be very helpful!

Hello, pot... meet the kettle. Seems to me that if you're going to contribute nothing more constructive to a topic than calling someone out on his spelling, you should at least make sure you do so with correct punctuation and spelling of your own. For example, "Why not learn to spell first? It might get you somewhere in life."

Regarding the original post, did the problem resolve itself after you cleared everything out? I'm another proponent of Sprite Backup... saved me many hours of frustration on my Ax.
