Putting music on X5

I just bought an X5 from a friend and I am having issues putting music from windows media player. See, the issue is:

Windows Media Player no longer detects a connected portable device. Reconnect your portable device, and then try synchronizing the file again.

Ive tried unplugging it and plugging it back in, and it still doesnt work.

Can anyone help me?

get you a storage card and a card reader and load all your music to the card then insert the card in your axim and play the music from the card or you can copy it to your device off of the card

Ditto .... I have a folder on my SD Card with a handfull of MP3 files (currently a rip of my Van Halen "Best Of" CD)

No problem playing them on the X5
