Question Can't Copy Files

I can't copy files, using Windows Explorer, between desktop (Dell 4100) and Axim. When I try to copy a file I get circle with the slash through it when dragging to Axim directory. When I try right click approach, paste is unavailable selection, greyed out. Help, suggestions, explanations?

Also, doesn't seen to want to sychronize SprintDB Pro databases, either way, i.e., from Axim to desktop or desktop to Axim. Help will be greatly appreciated.

I had this problem to. If this is happening when you try to copy and paste from a zip folder, that is the problem. You have to extract the file from the zip folder before you can copy and paste it to your Axim. If it is happening without the zip situation, I have no idea, but that is most likely the problem.

Assuming that you have a standard partnership and the 'files' box checked in 'sync options', you should be to drag & drop files into the folder created on your desktop.

Have standard partnership and files box is checked. On a sync, all files are transferred/updated except SprintDB Pro files. It was when I tried to copy them individually that I discovered I couldn't drag and drop or copy-paste files, regardless of type.

Thanks but I'm not trying to copy-paste from a zip.

A soft reset and re-connect may clear up the problem with file types other than SprintDB Pro files.

Is this the first time you have tried to move SprintDB Pro files?

The Axim may not have a file association for them.

Soft reset didn't do it. SprintDB Pro files a ".cdb". Regardless, I couldn't drag and drop or copy ANY type of file. Went the brute force approach and did hard reset, uninstalled and reinstalled Active Sync. Could copy as advertised with Ver 3.5. Then I upgraded to Ver 3.7 and guess what!? I can't copy! Doesn't sound like anyone else is having the problem after going to 3.7. I now wonder if it's a true hardware problem, i.e., something unrelated to other software won't function with Ver 3.7. Thoghts anyone?

This is probably a silly question, but does ActiveSync (on the PC and the Axim) show you as being connected when you are trying to copy via Windows Explorer? Have you tried the Explore icon on ActiveSync?
