screen size
just a quickie...are axim screen protector's the same size as any other pda??...one of the ipaqs or palms etc???
reason I ask is that I need to get some protectors...but cant buy online at the moment... One of the local hardware shops sell protectors but they dont have a specific one for the axim...I reckon that one of the generic plam/ipaq etc ones'll work...but its a case of working out which one... any ideas?? ![]() <ahem ..just realised this should >probably< be in the accessories thread...if any higher beings feel like moving it there than I dont have a problem!>

Should be the same as any other PPC2002 out there......dunno about Palms. I havent compared my Axim to my IIIc yet, but I dont think that the protectors are for one model only......could be for PPCs, Palms, and Psions maybe.......

You definitely cannot use an Ipaq screen protector on an Axim, as Ipaq's are 3.8" (except for the 1910 which is 3.5"), whereas the Axim is 3.5".
Also, not all 3.5" screens have the same 'border' around them: My screen protectors for my Axim are a wee bit too big for my Viewsonic V35, even though they both utilize 3.5" viewable screens. It is best to get one specifically for your PDA.

I was thinking about the "border problem" ..which is why I didnt just go by screen size. But, buying a specific screen cover is a pain as PC shops(i.e. bricks and morter shops, not online) here just sell Ipaq/palm accessories (as thats all that really sells here in Ireland at the mo'),and I'm attempting to get by without a credit card for the next while , which means buying online is out.. ![]() Thanks for the info as well sexybihil, I'm no expert on Clie's though ...can you check exactly wich model or series of models the covers are for??? , as that way I have something to ask for and I wont be wasting my €'s ($'s for you without euro symbols. )

I have friends that have trimmed screen protectors made for other machines so that they fit their Axim. If you can find a quality brand for a very low price, that might make sense. I prefer to use the ones made for the Ax.

I switched from Casio E-115 to the Axim, and I just trim the Casio screen protectors (I have 2 pkgs. left over) to fit the Axim.
I go through one per week so I'll use these and just trim them. If I can find any on sale I'll get them and trim them if necessary. Alan
