Axim difficult shutdown

Lately I have difficulty shutting down my Axim 5. Have to hit the off button 5 or 6 times to get it to shutdown. Turn on works perfect so I doubt that it is a button problem. Everything else works fine.

Any ideas?

I am having this problem too...no idea why though, unless it has to do with the short-circuiting that people have been talking about..?

Do you have any wifi bluetooth gps on? I no wifi will slow down the axim's shutdown, whixh is really standby. dont know bout the others though.
