Make sure that your screen protector (assuming you are using one) has not become lodged under the edge of the screen. By reset do you mean you performed a hard reset?

Yep .... I did a hard reset. Since I had all my info backed up I decide to reset the PDA in order to make sure it wasn't a software problem since I wasn't able to access the PDA's setting to check for screen saver or screen misalignment.
Now I'm stock with the Pocket PC 2000 setup screen !!!!

This might sound strange, but try this. I dropped my Axim a few days ago and the screen would not respond. I then performed a soft reset and ultimately a hard reset to no avail. I was stuck on the screen where you are at. I then clicked in my SD card and pulled it out. Something in there reset and it started working. If you don't have a SD card, just try pushing the plastic one in there and then taking it out and see if it does something. Just a thought. Good luck.

It's kinda funny but it did something. When I pull the SD plastic cover it changed to the aligment screen. Unfortunately I wasn't able to do anything else. I tryed clicking different buttons, hard reseting again, but nothing =(
And as far as I remember, I haven't drop my PDA. Maybe I hit it with something and I didn't notice !!!! Any way ... thanks for the advice.

The same thing happened to me
About a day after purchasing my refurbished 400, my touch screen stopped working. I called Dell tech support, and within 24 hours, I had a brand-spanking new replacement in my hands. After doing some research on the Dell online forums, this seems to be an unfortunate and relatively common problem with the Axim. I've had the replacement for 2 weeks now, and it works like a charm. Just my two cents.

Twist
I have noticed the same issue with non-responsive touch screen or it will seem to select things on it's own. I found that if I gently press from the back of the Axim toward the screen and push away from the front on opposite corners of the Axim it starts responding fine. I think it get's pressed by things in my laptop bag and the pressure affects the touch-screen sensitivity.
Just my 2 cents. | |||||

Yeah, mine would kind of work if I squeezed the sides of it hard enough, but my hand was getting sore and I got tired of squeezing really quick... I'm so glad I called Dell, since they had my new one to me within a day (and I only paid for a refurb!!)

Well ... just how you did, I started making some tests like you said and I found that I behaves the same way. It does things by itself just by applying some pressure in different parts of the PDA. Now I have a question .... what should I ask for? For a refurb or for this one to be fixed ???

Well, I didn't really expect Dell to send me a new Ax, but after the Tech Support rep walked me through a couple of unsuccessful fix attempts, she just flat out said that they'd be sending me a new one, and they did. Just explain the problem you are having, and hopefully Dell will be feeling generous like they did with me. I think they must know that this is a problem by now. Good luck!
