Ha! i got hitachi microdrive from best buy and i got it working so it will read fat32 drive. BUT the crazy cf timing patch works crazy. first of all i have an x5 basic and i have gone all the way back to reflashing and installing wm2003. when i install the timing patch then reset the x5 the microdrive works great. but when i cycle the power on the x5, the x5 will no longer read the microdrive correctly. the microdrive gets scrambled an i have to reformat it. as long as i install the cf timing patch before i want to use the microdrive every thing is great.
