I think I already know the answer to this, but can it be done?

It is my understanding that NT doesn't support USB, even though our Dell NT workstations each have two USB ports. Am I wrong?

Same Trouble

CageyJames, I read this post with interest but your link isn't working. I synch at home to XP but there are times I would like to load something at work but I am running NT there.
I found this site but haven't tried it yet.
USB for NT
I have sent them an email to see if anyone has tried this with an Axim and will post any response.

They changed forum software so the old links won't work. Do a search and you'll find some info out....

NT and Sync

Dell now sells a Serial Cable and Serial Cradle. You can use this to Sync with NT systems that only have a Serial port.....

you can sys the axim to 2 computers, just tell activesync on both machines you are sysncing to 2 systems.

Since you are using NT on one system and NT does not support USB you shall need a serial sync cable or cradle. I belive dell sells both, but I do know the sell a serial cradle. activesync 3.5 or 3.6 should work fine. the same I would think holds true to anyone still using Win 95.

Yeah, the unfortunate part is I 'assumed' NT would support USB, silly me, and ordered a 2nd USB sync cable for work. :( :( :(

I'm going to try to twist my bosses arm, get W2K.. instead of exchanging the cable. :)

I have the serial cable for my NT workstation at work and a USB cable for my computer at home...works perfectly. Still sucks that I had to buy an extra cable...but there was no way the company was gonna buy me a new machine so I could sync my ppc. I need to come up with a better reason...hummm...suggestions?:)
