my axim froze up

my axim has been acting up these last couple of days:

1. the keyboard key on the bottom right hand corner would not respond (this was 2 days ago)

2. when i was playing cinco (white background with black letters), i got a line of text with the bottom half in red (should be all in black). (this happened twice, 2 days ago and yesterday)

3. i was using my axim for about an hour this morning, no problem. i turned it off after use. when i turned it on again just now, i tried to get to "notes" from the start menu, first it went in and when i clicked on the note that i wanted, it would not open. then i tried a few more times, still wont work. and slowly, the start key on the left hand top corner stopped responding. The power button still worked at this point, so i turned off the device and on again, none of the buttons work now, even the powder button.

i updated to ROM A03 last weekend and dont know if it has anything to do with this, but i have 1 or 2 sync errors since the update, everything else seemed okay.

any ideas what went wrong? i've only had it for 2 weeks

tia

A friend of mine who recently updated to A03 Rom is having very similar problems. He basically removed all the programs from the device aside from the included ones and is still seeing the lockups. He did not have the problem with previous rom versions.

thanks for the info, how does your friend get his axim to turn off after it locks up? mine is still turned on because the power button is not working

is this a good enough reason to get a replacement? even if i get it working again this time, i dont want to have to deal with this on a regular basis :rolling:

The first rule is ... whenever anything acts strange, do a soft reset. It may be that your memory just needs flushing.

Do a soft reset.

Like Mike C said the soft reset is the first thing to try.
