HI,

I have the Axim about 4 days now. Everything is brand new when I first installed the main battery and the backup battery. It was 100% full charge on the back up battey until the this morning.

Now the backup battery is only at about 90%. I don't understand why the backup battery could drain so fast. The main battery is charged all the time and attached to the Axim since the first time I turned on the machine.

Is this normal that the backup will drain so fast at this rate? Will the backup be gone without few months?

Dave

from what i remember about previous posts. the backup is a 3.0 volt. when the battery drops to 2.9 volts the axim will actually read it at 90%. the meter on the axim is extremly sensitive. dont worry about a thing. you will notice the batteries will fluctuate a lot! when it gets below 30% then worry.

Actually, it reports 90% at 2.99 volts! It's very sensitive. If it bugs you, get a fresh battery for about $3 and it'll report 100% all the time. No real technical reason to do that, though, but if it makes you feel better $3 is a good investment.
