Beaming from Zire71 to Axim5
I've been trying to beam photo off of my firends Zire71 and into my Axim.. and it seems that the Zire71 can't find /see my Axim.. I've downloaded PeaceMaker Pro (i have A03 installed, but not the patch did think I need the patch cause it's for A00) and tried again today and still nothing.. Is there a way that I can beam between the Zire71 to my Aixm???

Is this driver part of an A02 or A03 update? Is it possible to beam a contact from Axim to palm?

it says
' This driver improves performance of the infrared transfer function when tranferring data between an Axim X5 and a Palm OS device.
sounds perfect for you.

I don't have an axim yet, but I did have trouble beaming stuff between my palm IIIxe to his Axim 300, It was like the IR port would work for a miniute, then die, then comeback. I'm sure I'll understand more when I get my 400 in a week or so.....

If someone gets it to beam.. can some tell me exactly how they did, what they installed and stuff.. I have A03 upgrade and (that didn't work) so now I just installed the patch from DELL it says A00 so i'm confused but I installed it anyway.. I'm going to try it out when I can borrow the Palm again..

There's a workaround to your problem. Just save the pics taken using Zire 71 to the SD card of Zire and then place that SD card on your axim's SD slot. You should be able to copy the pics using File explorer.
I haven't tried the patch to the axim's IR yet. I'm quite cautious at applying patches...

Eureka. I installed the patch on my A02 Ax and successfully beamed two contacts to my Visor Deluxe.
