Logging in requires soft reboot

I am having a problem, there would be times when the little security screen would come up on my Axim asking me to enter my password, when I do it just appears to hang forever there... The only way I can get my Axim to work is if I do a softboot.

Anyone know whats going on there.

I suspect some ap that you have running when you shut it down is trying to do something which stops the password entry from being recognized. At least that would explain the soft reset curing the problem (it clears all the running applications). If I had to guess further, I would look at aps that are installed on memory cards or device drivers for cards you use in the CF slot.

Could it possibly be that I am using the alarm functionality?

I have the same problem but usually it will be with the calendar. If I have a noticfication that pops up before, during or after password log in, it will lock up and will have to reboot.

Hope this helps
