My Axim has a mind of it's own

Why does my axim turn itself back on when I pull it off the cradle in the morning two minutes after I shut it off. This is very annoying because the case I have presses on the screen, opens apps, and changes info. When I turn it off for the second time, it doesn't turn back on till I hit power (like it should). Does anyone know why this happens? I have the latest ROM and when I charge, I just leave it sync'd with the power on all night. I always close active stink on the ax manually each morning. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Go to tools, options in Activesync and make sure your schedule does not allow it to synchronize when it is not connected to your PC.

Your Axim is a device that connects to your system, just like when you change the memory card, or plug in or remove any accessory card, the Axim wakes up to determine if it needs to change it's configuration to operate as it should. So, when you unplug it from the cradle (or plug it into your cradle) it wakes up and stops (or starts) communicating with the PC.
I am sorry for the anoyance, but this assures you that when you need the PDA it is ready to work!

I always leave the unit's power on when it's on the cradle. When I pull it off in the morning it's still on. I close out active sync with the Ico bar and then turn it off. Two minutes later (usually in the car on the way to work) it turns itself back on. I tried thewisertrons suggestion and same problem. I just don't understand why it turns on when there are no active programs running and no changes being made. I also have it set to not turn on by pressing a program button so that can't be it. Oh well, I still love the thing in spite of it's flaws.

I'd venture that a third party program is causing this activity. Have never experienced this myself.

Oh, another point I forgot to make... why do you use a case that rubs on your screen like that!!!

I bought the first flip cover they made for the Axim. It's a aluminum cover with a foam pad that rests on the screen. It was made by pocket solutions. I need to get a nice leather Sena case or something.
