i am trying to use the infrared port on dell axim in RAW mode to send across some bytes.

The device would transmit only from second byte onwards....and append "FF" ( 255) at the end

then i installed the updated IR drivers from dell. Now the first byte also gets transmitted- but the "ff" still gets appended at the end.


I am trying to use this for a modbus control where a silent interval is taken as interpacket gap...with this extra "FF", my packets are not getting recognized as the FF is taken as part of packet.

Anyone got any ideas?
