I have been an x5 user for some years and have fixed several problems over that time associated with battery Backup and the constant alignment loop issues but am now having a problem with the unit loosing the alignment for no apparent reason. The Last program I Loaded onto the X5 was pocket Reader. As this program seems to he a memory Hog, Could His be causing the X5 to Loose its Alignment? Any Suggestions welcome thanks Joe

It is possible that your digitizer is going out. They do go out after some time, and this would cause it to lose alignment like your's is doing

Mine did it reallly often, so I gave it a nice shock therapy with my hand with five fingers closed tightly. After that it still does a 'little' but not as bad as before.

I followed this procedure, and it seems like it solved it for me. (even if not, it is good to prevent additional problems)
