Blank screen

My wife dropped her X5 and now the screen is completely blank. When it is turned on the back light comes on but nothing else shows on the screen, I tried a hard reset, removed the battery, disassembled the unit and checked the ribbon cable connection to the screen and saw no internal damage. Does anyone have advise on what else I can try, besides buying a new Axim.

Are you using a CF or SD card in your unit? I ask this because I have this issue from time to time on my X50V running on WM2003SE. I can leave my SD card in place, but I have to:
1) pull out my CF card (where I keep a lot of programs)
2) Do a soft reset
3) put the card back in after I'm rebooted.

Hope this works for you too. Please let me know how you make out.

Yes, I use a CF barcode scanner and have a SD card that only contains a database. I tried removing both of them and do a hard reset but did not help.

Sorry to hear that. I only needed a soft reset without the CF card. Obviously a different issue. Anyone have another idea?
