I just got off the phone with dell and my axim is being replaced. It wouldn't have bothered me if it wasn't in the middle of the screen

I had a dead pixel right in the middle of the screen--Dell sent me a replacement without a problem. I was impressed with the ease of getting a replacement unit sent.

Unfortunately, the replacement they sent me has a blue and a red line that both go vertically down the middle of the screen. Dell has been giving me considerable grief now. I called and got a replacement order put in, but the day it was to ship, it was cancelled--no one at Dell has been able to tell me why. I'm told it will be 3-5 business days for them to figure out why the replacement order was cancelled...only then can another replacement order be entered.

Hound them until they give you a replacement. Their policy, so I was told by a Dell technician who replaced my CD-RW/DVD drive, they will replace the laptop display if one pixel is dead. This should hold for the PDAs too, so just don't let it go. Do as others have said, and keep making your way up the chain until they get tired of wasting money and give you what is RIGHTFULLY YOURS.
