Operating System Question?

Hello,

Maybe I'm a bit old school........that's why I still have and use the X5. I got into this forum originally because of this 2007 daylight savings time change thing wondering if I needed to change something on my PPC.

I currently have been using my X5 for years doing all sorts of things like:

Scheduling, Using Forms for Work, Music and Games on Planes, Viewing CADD drawings and Aerial Photographs (SD Card) etc.

I don't know what version of hardware WM2000 or 2003 I have?

I use Active Sync 3.8.0 and in my X5's system information I see it's speed is 400MHz, ROM Version is A04 etc. In my About section I see Version 3.0.11171 and copyright 1996-2001 Microsoft Corp.

Since I self taught myself as I'm sure we all did, I'm a bit dense on the entire operating system lingo

Can someone help me out since I want to know what I have and why I'm wondering if I should upgrade to a newer version............. You know......that old saying......if it's not broke, why fix it. I like my PPC and it performs well for my needs.

Any directional assistance would be welcomed

Any change can introduce instability. If the current state is stable and comfortable and familiar, then there needs to be some impetus, such as a desire for additional functionality, an urge to possess a new bright shiny object, or perhaps, just some excitement. Only you can answer these questions.

Thanks JD.................... I really don't want to upgrade but would like to know what version of OS I have and or where to find it on my device.

It says 3.0.11171 is that 2003?
