My Axim won't go past the align screen. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Press firmly
check you screen protector isn't too big or stuck to the side.
Check the lock switch.

Not yet, I'm having the same problem, I just started looking for a solution, it happened about 2 months. I have a couple of others X5's that work fine. The only new software I was running was a screen lock program, either free or a trial version,, and Sompy media player trial version. I'll post if I find a solution

The X5 doesn't have a physical lock switch, although the screen lock program I was running had some combination of either the home button and the calender button to be pressed at the same time

I had the same problem until I finally replaced my batteries (all) and now it's running great. Of course don't forget to make sure you back up everything before you do this. Hope it works for you.:approve:

The batteries are fresh, I did read a few other post suggesting to clear the edge of between the the screen and the case of debris using a piece of paper. I did this with no luck, so I opened the case (6 screws) and easy to do. Clean the case, screen with a can of compressed air, reassembled WOW it work

Thanks to the post's I'm back in business

P.S. the funny thing was that there was very little VISIBLE debris to be cleaned

I just joined this group with same problem. Found something that worked for me. Usea #2 lead pencil with eraser. Using the eraser end, do the align screen proceedure. Walla, once around the screen with the eraser and my axim started to work.

I have the same trouble on my X5, I can't get past the Align screen. Anyone have a help tip?
