Almost ready to give my Axim back

I cannot believe the crappy service and crappy hardware I have from Dell. I received my axim on 7/11 and its bout to go out the door back to dell. Will be in the market again for a new PDA.

-delay in getting my PDA, the rep told me it would ship on 6/20 and didnt get shipped till 6/30
-dell requires sig for delivery and i had to go to the fedex office several miles away to sign for my dell
-got my dell and charged away and 2 days later the backup battery kept flopping out. Ordered a new one from dell on 7/17. Still no show on the back up battery.
-called dell on 7/19 all worried about the PP03 issues, rep denied any known problems. Decided I shouldnt unnecessarily worry. So I hung up.
-axim doesnt remind me while in sleep mode. no sound for appts.
-around 7/20, i starting getting backup battery warnings saying it was low. so I called dell to figure out the issue. they wanted my service request # from the back of the main battery and when i get that all data on pda lost. bummer.. i had read about this in the manual but didnt realize my back up was already burned.
-7/22 call to dell made to order new back up battery. rep said the batterries arent really tested by dell and might have had a bum one. so he was sending me another. very comforting. Also wanted to extend my 30 trial and wrote to the customer care rep. I got 3 day extension. whoopti doo.
-7/23 called dell to figure out where the heck backup battery cover is as i dont have it yet. Call customer care. so i tried. they were closed.

I think its time to end the romance.

I am new to the whole idea of PDAs, transcribers, syncing and all I wanted was some organization, a bit of note/task taking, maybe listening to music... but seems like too much to ask from dell.

Syanora. wannalovemyaxim but cant....

Wow, you had a bad run with Dell. I am sorry to hear that. I don't blame you a bit. Dell can be difficult and dense some times (well, almost all the time with me).

I do wish you better luck with your next PPC.
