Hi

I recently bought a Axim with the Dell Truemobile CF card,

I installed the driver that came with the CD (yes, yes I know stupid move)

Well I downloaded the new driver from the Dell site and tried to upgrade. When upgrading I get an errror that the file "\windows\wmdcf46.exe" is still in use.

Then I tried to uninstall it first from the Axim and my workstation. The workstation uninstalls without a hitch but when uninstalling from the Axim I get the same message that the wmdcf46.exe still is in use.

I checked my memory for running programs but nothing seems to be running. I first tried uninstalling without the card inserted then with the card but got the same result.

I could try browsing the device and deleting the file manually but I'm a bit reluctant to do that cause I don't know the result.

Anybody got any bright idea's cause I'm fresh out of them. Any help would be appriciated

Do a soft reset and that should clear it up to delete.

won't a soft reset delete all installed programs, files, notes and stuff ??

No, that would be a "hard reset". To do a soft reset just push in the reset button on the side of your Ax below the recording button.
