There was a lot of discussion on the poor response of the D-Pad on some of the original Axims. I have the PX250 processor and the D-Pad doesn't respond well when trying to push it to go Right.
Do the newer Axims still suffer from poor responses? I haven't bother asking Dell for a replacement, figuring they would give me another one with a poor D-pad.
I personally know three people who own axims...and all three (including myself) have a problem with the right default on the D-Pad. I bought my Ax at the end of April, and I thought about sending it back, but from what I have heard you have just as much chance of getting a replacement that has a worse D-Pad than the one you sent in! Just something you have to deal with :)

If you notice the DPad is more like a joystick then an actual DPAD try centering your thumb and lean the pad to the side instead of actually pressing the right side.

I ordered my Axim in Novermber and haven't had many problems with it since I adjusted the response rate. Go to Settings, BUttons, Up/Down and set the slider bars to the left. See if that helps any.

Actually, I think that they have fixed the 'right' problem. It now doesn't work well 'up' :) I've sent one in already and received one back (with A05) but they both behave poorly... however, the second one works well enough that I will stick with it... I do like the overall product.
I got my Axim in Feb, it basicly sucks in any direction, so I have gotten use to not even using it unless I have to. I remap volume and so on to the side jog wheel.
But when its remapped can the jog wheel still be used to scroll up and down in those programs that scroll? Or will it be a volume control until you change it back?
Has anyone ever thought of modding their axim's dpad? It seems like if you found a nice, thick piece of rubber , maybe cannibalized from a gameboy or other type of system you could use velcro or adhesive to stick it on - more traction.
