Can't use WiFi after Hard reset
All right, I had a problem with my Inbox not seeing my ROM built in storage, so I proceeded with a Hard Reset. That cured the Inbox Problem. Now, the WIFi doesn't work anymore!
From a clean Axim, I re-installed the drivers and all through ActiveSynch (I made sure to re-identify properly my device first). It Synched fine and I got all my data back. Except that even after the install, the WiFi didn't work anymore. If I set the connection settings to Work, it tries to connect but then after a few seconds comes up 'not connected'. If I set the connections settings to Internet, PIE tells me that it can't find the page. The WiFi is a Linksys WCF12. I did do a back up prior to, and even witha restore it still doesn't work (and the Inbox problem is back!) ![]()

Okay, did a harder reset.
Tried everything I knew about my firewall (which was seeing the CF Card and giving it an IP) and my PDA to try to get the WiFi working. I then realized that the only time I was successful in installing the CF card was when I had a clean PDA and a clean PC. I removed the secondary battery on the Axim and uninstalled ActiveSynch from the PC. I re-installed the software on the PC, then on the Ax. I turned the Ax on/off a time or two until the firewall saw it and gave it an IP. Tadam! Everything worked fine thereafter and all my PIM data re-synchronize nicely. Beats me as to what was in ActiveSynch or left in the PDA after a hard reset that was preventing the WiFi to work. It's working fine for me, but if somebody knows it may be benifical to post it 'for the record' Oh... and I can now save my email attachments in the built-in storage! ![]()
