my Axim has gone LOOPY since ROM update

I know it was always going to be a risky process, but enough people were having luck with the A05 ROM that I gave it a go......Which wasn't such a smart move.

The update appeared to go fine. I got to the end of 13/13, and the device appeared to be doing a standard reboot (which happens a few times during process), but when it rebooted 10 times in a row without showing any signs of stopping. I pulled it from the USB cradle and tried first a soft reboot, with no luck, then a hard reboot, but that didn't fix the problem either.

So now what is happening is, from turning ON, it shows DELL start-up srceen, then briefly shows the stylus set-up screen, then automatically reboots again... and goes through the same cycle in an endless LOOP. I've let it go for 20 minutes and it just wont stop rebooting itself after it gets to the stylus/cross hair screen.

I am an Axim newbie, so go easy on me if this is a straight forward thing to fix.

Any help would be appreciated though.

Yes, idiot, he said that.

Edited: Please do not speak of file sharing of ROM backups on Aximsite. Thank you for your cooperation. --deftech

Yes I did all the backups of ROM and data....But how do I get access to them?

As mentioned, I tried soft reset, hard reset, even removed both batteries for 5 minutes. none do anything useful.

It's like I have now lost control of the unit, and it wont respond to anything I try to do. It just keeps going around in a circle of rebooting itself each time it reaches the inital setup screen.

...unforrunately, it looks like I'll have to resort to desperate means of action.....CALL DELL PHONE SUPPORT
