Can you Fix It Yourself?

Ok this is for the guys and gals that build computers. I have on one of my many favorites saved on my AXIM, a web site where you can buy the parts, guts, etc for the Axim. I was wanting to know if any of you actually took it apart and worked on it or did anything with it. I know the warranty will run out and when mine does I will probably fix it and still buy a new one. I also like the idea as someone said on some site replacing the RAM in the Axim if they ever offer it That is possible if they offer it. Knowind computers today and the way they work, someone will offer it as an aftermarket item. Hey the warranty ran out so why not try it. IF it works, cool you got it, if not, well I like to learn. Thanks.:D

Here are some threads started by our member, coolhand. They are from when he broke his screen, ordered and installed a new digitizer (screen), and decided to modify his D-Pad......

Also, regarding RAM upgrades....Pocket PC Techs already offers this, but requires you to send your Axim in for them to install it.

Hesse reviewed it for Aximsite a while back....here is the link:

I am not for sure about how to post a url here but the web site is PDAParts.com. On the left side just click Axim parts. Also the web site about the RAM upgrade, they do not do them for the Axim any more at this time. One of the salespeople told me that there were so many versions of the Ram to get it right , they had problems, so they are not doing it right now and will tell me when they do and I will post it here when they do.
