Overclocking - fascinating observations

I have been following the overclocking threads closely and have been experimenting with several different LMN configurations to determine what is best for my axim (basic, purchased first week in July). I am using Advanced XScaleCtrl.

Many suggested 32-4-1 (472 mhz) as being optimal. I attempted this and my system crashed immediately. I bumped it down and my system worked without a problem.

Then, by a total fluke, I set it to 32-4-1.5 and it WORKED!!! how can this be? it's completely illogical! does anyone have any clue why this would be the case?

I should add that it works on both run and turbo modes... So it's not like there was just some sort of freak problem with 471...

i just tried this too..

using 27 i can clock up to 600 without any problem so at default i use 27-4-1.5 scalling between 600turbo and 400run

i tried 32-4-1 and always got the hardlock as well.. i thought it was the memory so i just gave up.. but 32-4-1.5 WORKS for me as well scalling 707turbo to 472run

i'm a little worried about it running at 707mhz but it seems to be ok except for battery life.. running cpuid shows the sdram max frequency running at 58mhz though so i might be running slower than it should be.. anyone running at 472 using 32-4-1 and having it working to tell us if they are getting the same info from cpuid?

just fyi im using an advanced i got this month and am loving it

I do not have any benchmark program... but I have found that it actually performs SLOWER than 27-4-1... though I would like to dream that I am actually running 700+ mhz (cpuid tells me so), I am thinking that, for now, it is a pipe dream
