Time doesn't stay correct

HI all, Thanks for a great site. My question is that when I sync my Axim the time changes 2 hours forward? My desktop has the right time and my Axim is set in the correct timezone. When I correct it on the Axim it stays correct until I do a new sync with the desktop then it is exactly 2 hours off. any ideas? Thanks for any help you may offer.

is your PC in the correct time zone?

The problem is your Axim sync's its time to your PC's
time, so your PC's time may be correct, but the timezone
may be incorect.. so the Axim will adjust itself

Are the time zones correct in Start: Settings: System: Regional Settings?

A little background so you can troubleshoot. When the Ax and PC sync time, what get's synced is Universal Time or GMT. Then each machine adjusts from UT/GMT to local time based on the timezone settings. It sounds like either one or both of the machines is either in a wrong time zone or wrong on Daylight Savings Time settings.

it's always the little details that I overlook. Even though my desktop was showing the correct time it was in the wrong time zone. It was in Pacific time not Central. So operater error is to blame once again which is always better than a hardware problem. Thanks for pointing out the obvious to me and I look forward to participating here at Aximsite.
