My SD card that came with my ax is SHOT. I called and got the run around (40 plus minutes, only to be hung up on). I have had so many calls into Dell, that I have put this off indefinately; but I really would like to have a card that works. So, does anyone have a solid # for tech support with the right ext. and prompts that will get results with no much time spent on the phone? I would REALLY appreciate it, since my card is USELESS. Thanks
Is it a Scamdisk SD? If so you can call them directly and ask them to replace it with non-Taiwan card for use in a Dell Axim. They apparantly know all about the problen. They will not do forward replacement though.

If its a sandisk call them and send it back. Get an rma. They will send you a usable one. Then sell your sandisk. for half the price. at least you'll get something out of it!
I had no idea, that it didn't come with a card. I had gone ahead and bought a 128 (returned it and got a 256) so I thought that the "dummy" card was the stock card that came with the ax, I guess I'll toss this in the trash. Thanks for not laughing at me ;)
Nemattoad is right....we all make mistakes. :) Although....I do have to be honest with you....I got a little bit of a chuckle out of it from behind the keyboard. :)
I work in tech support though so nothing surprises me anymore.

I just wanted to add my two cents. What type of SD card did you end up getting? If its a Sandisk then I urge you to make sure its not from Taiwan. Just take it out of the Axim and the info will be on the back. If it is then take is back before it craps out on you.
If it is not a Sandisk then I suggest that you run a search on your manufacturer. There have been a lot of problems concerning the SD memory for the Axim. From what I can tell the best memory comes from Japan.
I used to do tech support too, however your mistake is unerstandable. What I find funny is that you thought you were getting something for free from Dell.
But I've had my axim since January, and have used the card (knock on wood)since the very beginning. Do you think I should/could return the card even though I haven't had any problems?

:D It's funny cause its true (said in Homer voice)
