Question linksys wcf12 wireless not recognized by ppc2003

hi all, just wondering if anyone knows if there is any issue with
the linksys wcf12 wireless not recognized by pocket pc 2003.
my axim finds the wcf12 but it doesnt like the mfg name .
when i go to wireless devices its listed there but it doesnt auto configure or pop up on screen, the card does have power, i re-installed the software and it did install on the axim but no icon appears, is this a driver problem has anyone else had this.

any suggestions , please help

i called linksys and the support guy sounded like he didnt know anything , like he was guessing it was a driver for 2003 that didnt work and told me to email the support at linksys .
so why the hell did i bother calling them!

Hello,

I installed the driver mentioned in this chain of messages. My wcf 12 works great on axim with ppc2003.

linksys does not have a WM2003 driver.

There is however another driver that works in WM2003 with the linksys, but it causes battery consumption issues that will make most people angry.

Search the aximsite forums for SENAO and you will find a thread about it and instructions on how to get it to work. Its fairly simple, but it sucks.

In my opinion, return the card, and get one that works, like the socket, or the d-link

Yeah, the D-Link card works great with the 2K2 drivers

thats because linksys lazy ass hasnt made 2003 drivers yet..

the workaround is to use senaio drivers. they work but mine drain battery like a mofo

pkosta3...

The Axim has only ever had the XScale processor. Software for ARM processors run on the XScale.

Linksys hasn't released the 2003 version of the driver... that's why it doesn't work.
