Question Axim and the cradle

When I put my Axim on the cradle, the Axim never powers down. The screen dims the color down, but it never powers itself off. Is it supposed to after a certain amount of time? Is it a setting I'm supposed to adjust so that it does that? It just doesn't seem like it should be on all the time.

I leave mine on all the time. It means if I'm syncing via the cradle I can just pull it off and leave and it's all up to date. Very handy. I just turn the screen down.
