Oh No! I Left My Ax In The Car!!!

Oh no, I left my ax in the car this weekend. It was in there all night until about 4:00PM. When I grabbed it out of the car my Rhinoskin case was TO HOT TO TOUCH! Then I carefully (using my shirt) removed the ax out of the case. My ax was almost to hot to touch also. I turned it on and it still works, but, does anyone know if that has dramaticaly shortened the life of my ax?
(I heard somewhere that heat is your chips worst nightmare, and about the only thing that will shorten its life. aside from dropping it in the pool) Please let me know what you all think. I am very worried.

I think you'll be fine myself. The heat thing is generally just bad when a device is running. I doubt if it will shorten the life of your Axim. Think of all the similar chips in the new in-dash computers and things that people are putting in their cars nowadays.....these work just fine after a long summer day in a parking lot.

Heat is a processors worst enemy but when it is running. Heat causes electricity flowing through it to become unstable and possibly jump leads but heat while its not on would not hurt the processors or chips. Now the screen and battery might be diffrent, do you find that your battery life is shorter. Iknow this happens with old rechargable battries they loose life when heated/left in car.

I'm not sure yet. I'll see how long this one last and i'll post. Usually I get 2-4 hours out of my batt. Screen seems fine. No visible damage just worried...

Did you hear about that guy about a month ago was all in a rush and was late so he dropped his wife off to work before droping the kid of to daycare like he usually does. The kid in the process fell asleep in the back of the car and the man being totaly rushed and being used to driving to his next stop, work forgot all about the child that was in the back of the car. Parked it on the side of the road to take the subway leaveing his child in the back to swealter to death. It was so sad to see that child die that way.

Thanks for "sparing me" star.

LOL

I am kind of a dog fanatic myself and hate to see that also. I have had a similar experience. One of my co-workers lived in sacramento and worked in san jose. He drove down on friday and left monday evening. He stayed in a mobile home in works parking lot. He always brought his dog w/him and left him in the car ALL DAY!!! Every day I would go out and play w/his dog and try and let the dog have cool air and water. Long story short he wouldnt stop bringing his dog, I called the cops. He got a ticket, and stoped bringing his dog. He brought his dog because he enjoyed the dogs company but he was really torturing the dog if you ask me (and the cop apparently). I don't work there anymore so I bet he brings him down nowadays again.

I dont know about that one some of the kids I know need to be cooked

On a serious note though the heat can cook the screen. I did that on a phone once and left it in the car for a day and 1/2 the screen pixels were cooked so they wouldnt turn off. But im sure that if everything came back ok now you wont have a problem with it. Just dont make a habit of it and you should be ok

Can you imagin the resentment that this guy feels. It was an accident and all but man what guilt that guy has to live with.

I don't know if I would be able to live with myself after that. I'm sure all I would see at night when trying to fall asleep would be my dead child's face as I found him in the backseat of my car after work. Horrible, truly horrible.

I would really like to kick his A$$ right now!!

I honestly can't. He must have had more on his mind than I've ever had. Whenever I have a spare second I'm thinking about my daughter. I don't see how he could have forgot. That's a horrible story. I'm going to be sad the rest of the day now.
