CF card trouble
Here we go, here we go ... Let's see if I still get answers now that I own a 2215 :)
I have a 1GB Kingston CF card. It used to work fine with my X5 (2002). I put it in my new 2215 (with stuff from my X5 on it) and copied over an extra file. It looked fine, I could play mp3s ...
But at some point the pda froze and now it does not recognize the CF card. If I use a PCMIA adapter, my laptop sees the card and its content, I can even play songs from the laptop but if I try to delete files (from the laptop) or to reformat the card (from the laptop), it would not work, I get a message "Write protected ..."
How come is my CF card now write-protecte ??
Any suggestion to fix this bloody thing ?
Thanks a lot

I would love to but
(*)It's not recognized by the PDA --> No way to format it
(*)If I try to format it from my laptop (PCMIA adapter), I get a message "cannot format, write-protected" ...

hrm, have u tried different formatting progs, I am sorry, but I dont know what else would help.
Some programs may be able to see the cards status somewhat "clearer".

I tried Flash Format on the PDA. Nothing ...
My guess is that the formatting app cannot see the card if the OS does not see it

that is the case sometimes with corrupted SD cards, but sometimes even if the card is corrupted badly, the OS will still see it.
odd for a CF card
I am puzzled. Contact kingston tech support
