After powering off, I cannot power on my X5 with Belkin BT CF card

I have installed a Belkin BT CF card (the "rounded corners" Belkin model F8T020) on my Axim X5 300 Mhz. I pair with BT GPS BT-338 and run Mapopolis GPS software.

My setup works ok, except for the following very annoying thing. After powering off, I cannot power on my X5 unless/until I do soft reset.

I also noticed that if I power off Axim which only runs BT and no Mapopolis, then it can be subsequently powered on, but it starts in a strange dimmed mode. So that I have to go to the system settings to restore the brightness. I have never experienced such a change of brightness before.

Perhaps, it somehow related to excessive power drain, or a luck of some resources. Any ideas?

I need to say that all the time Axim is connected to power supply and the battery (although very old) appears to be fully charged. Could it be the old battery, which just can not supply enough pick power in the tuning on time?

NOTE: By "powering off/on" I mean pressing the "Power" button.

UPDATE:

I noticed that if I stop BT connection (in my case, with BT GPS), I can avoid the issue. That is every time I am going to power off the Axim, I have to first make sure that there is no active BT connection. If I forget to stop BT, then after powering off, the Axim will not power on unless/until I do soft reset. Is it normal ?

BT problems

It was working before the BT install then I would start by uninstalling the BT driver. You may have an old or incompatable driver.
