I have an adapter from another PDA, the Casio BE-300, and it's close to the spec of the Axim's.

It is DC 5.9V, 2000mA (listed as 2A) with center positive.

The Ax is 5.4V, 2410mA, also with center positive.

Same plug size.

Any engineer types out there who can give me the green light or the caution?

I know the charger will work with the Axim and the EM-500. I have interchanged them before.

Should work. The power should have a simple filter or rectifier on it (though lack of ground severely limits the amount of work it can do). My iPaq adapter is a perfect match though.
