I was looking at my power and saw I had 60% backup battery and 90% regular battery. I changed the battery to a new 3200 and lost all my data even though I had 60% backup. Has any
one experienced this? I would like to be able to change batteries without losing everything. Oh, I have a resurrected x5 at 400mhz

How long did it take for you the change the battery? If it took too long, it's possible that your backup battery drained during the process. How much is left on your backup battery now (assuming it's the same one)?

If memory serves, the metering on the X5 for the backup battery was notoriously unreliable. If it's reading anything other than 100%, you should change it (a CR2032 available in many department and computer stores).

Ahhh....good info. My back-up battery was showing about 80%, so I swapped batteries and lost everything. And it is a new battery(well about 10 months old).
I should have done a search before I swapped batteries.
