After my cradle passed away <not a violent death, just slipped away overnight...> I found a cable, that fit the bottom of the X5 that had a USB end on it, and it has been working fine for syncing.

Now, I see that there are IPOD docking stations that not only provide power (via this plug) to the IPOD but also allow the sound/audio output to play into the amplified speakers on the docking station. Does anyone know if this plug has the audio output on it? The reason I ask is that I do listen to "books on tape" using the X5, and my new car has a mp3 input jack. How nice if one plug would provide battery charging input as well as audio out!

Can anyone with intimate knowledge of these units help?
