X5 Advanced + Globalsat MR-350 =

Ugh. I was hoping this thing would work. I got the USGlobalsat MR-350 GPS bulkhead mount antenna, and the appropriate cableset for my X5. Even with the supplied driver, it still freezes everything when I plug the antenna in. I have tried a couple of updated drivers to no avail....

Anyone else have this antenna?

I don't have that setup, but for most serial GPS it is recommended to make sure ActiveSync isn't running and have the GPS software actively looking for the COM port before plugging in the receiver.
